Amid huge corporate losses, massive job layoffs, government bailouts, unsustainable national deficit spending, state bonds rated as junk and discussions of states filing for bankruptcy, Texas stands out as a shining example of economic stability and growth.

Show me a border state that doesn’t have big problems. It’s the feds that need to step up and secure the border.

The issue is not whether or not a border state has the issue, but how the Governor, is a position of leadership, did or did not solve the issue.

Governor Perry, all his late tough border talk notwithstanding, has failed miserably because he is an Open-Borders/Pro-Amnesty/Anti-Border-Fence Fraud.

Nice try at trying to redirect and deflect though.

The feds aren't going to do that. Perry knows that and said the Arizona law wasn't right for Texas and preferred to let the feds keep doing the "fine job" they've done all along.

Thanks!

Paying taxes is no excuse for having a hand out.

The primary problem is too many dollars go to the Feds in the first place. They take our money and return it piecemeal granting more to favorites or adding strings attached to use our own money.

I bought into his tough border talk for a while but all I was doing was taking his word for it.

If you were to look at my comments on Rick Perry from a year or 6 months ago you would see me expressing appreciation for him changing his stance and sticking to it. Unfortunately I started looking a little deeper and found that I was wrong.

This gives the data in a table. The top ten best for jobs/$ were:

Florida
Idaho
North Carolina
Ohio
Connecticut
Hawaii
Nebraska
Texas
Alabama
Oklahoma

The sad part even these averaged over $200k per job. In Minnesota spent $1.2 million per job.

Thanks again.

Your profile page says you’re from Alabama. That true?
