Milwaukee - Democrats appeared to have ousted one Wisconsin lawmaker but three Republicans survived recall on Tuesday, leaving two races still in doubt in the nation's largest ever group of recall votes. WisPolitics.com said that Republican state Senators in three of Tuesday's six races beat back Democratic challengers who targeted them for voting to curb the power of public sector unions in the state legislature. In a fourth race, the Democratic challenger held a comfortable lead with most ballots counted and appeared to have ousted a Republican who narrowly won in 2010. So it cost the Dems 15 million a seat. I’ll take that all day long.
The contests have included accusations of dirty tricks -- with Milwaukee prosecutors launching investigations into voter bribery charges in one race.
No mention of political affiliation, so it was the democrats/unions and Obama-inspired.
There's still an opportunity next week to replace Democrat Holperin with a TeaParty candidate (Kim Simac) in a majority Republican district.
Now, lets see how those rats do next week.
It was union money, made up of sweat from mostly honest guys handcuffed to a union agenda. It got flushed down the Wisconsin toilet for the most part. If the election next week goes the way of the Republicans...it’ll be a pretty hard loss for the unions to swallow. And here’s the sad thing....they used all that money now in a non-Presidential race year...the worst strategy possible.
