"Shelley said the groups steering committee includes such veterans as longtime Perry ally Jay Kimbrough, now interim A&M chancellor, and John Brieden, former national commander of the American Legion."
Military veterans create Super PAC to help governors presidential efforts
Additionally, the group has already gotten a website up and running...
These guys are showing a can-do attitude, just what I'd expect from an organized group of veterans. Rick Perry served honorably in uniform, he's earned this kind of support.
And Mr. Shelley should be honest about his relationship with Gov. Perry.
He's been very open about it, he's not hiding anything.
"Lobbyist Dan Shelley, a former lawmaker who was legislative director to Perry and to then-Gov. Bush before him, has founded the super PAC Jobs for Vets Fund, and a separate committee, Veterans for Rick Perry.
"Neither legally can coordinate with his campaign. Shelley said he hopes to raise $1 million before the end of the year for the committees for such efforts as radio ads, which he said wont run until after Perry announces. Hell start his work in Iowa and focus initially on that state and South Carolina."
Didn’t see the quoted information in the article. While I respect the service of all our war fighters, that respect does not automatically transfer to their later endevors. I suspect Mr. Shelley will eventually be rewarded handsomely for his magniminous efforts.
I couldn't say. I'll keep an open mind and a positive attitude on this group of veterans unless and until they give me reason to do otherwise.
Understood, ma’am/sir.
That bears repeating-——
