The buzz about Michele Bachmann's crazy eyes photo on the cover of Newsweek refused to go away on Tuesday, a day after the magazine came out.
Editor-in-chief of Newsweek and The Daily Beast Tina Brown defended the photo on Twitter.
Her one-line response was simply: 'Michele Bachmanns intensity is galvanizing voters in Iowa right now and Newsweeks cover captures that.'

She looks a LOT saner than Pelosi...
Newsweak (spelling intended) is so.....
Microsoft.
Tina Brown is doing anything she can to get noticed, in hopes it will sell magazines. She got noticed, but it won’t sell any more magazines.
Tina Brown wrote the book on crazy eyes

Did they ever have a crazy eyes picture of Cynthia McKinney when she was still in politics, or on the Gaza bound ship? I would be surprised.
They tried to make her look like a cult leader-Charles Manson.
Have they ever spent a single dime — or a single minute — investigating the background of The Chosen One?
Tina Brown is an elderly meiskeet (pardon my spelling!) who is jealous of the beauty of Michelle and Sarah. She also faithlessly befriended the beautiful Diana and then stabbed her in the back multiple times. I have no respect for that Carpetbagger.
She’s only discrediting Newsweek even more than it already is. Since she took over it’s been a huge joke of a paper and she’s trying to recreate the glory years of the Eighties, when she was among the top columnists and writers for upscale magazines. She’s been running her own small thing now, but since taking over Newsweek she’s been in over her head.
elderly meiskeet
That could be a new synonym for “douchebag”
That’s it? It’s not that bad. Looks like she just inhaled a deep breath or something.
Eactly. I don’t understand the uproar. She often looks like that in pictures. Did she not have to sign off on the image they used?
It was on the cover of Newsweek, which means no one would have seen it if no one had raised such a stink.
Oh well.
Not really. Despite my awful spelling, I was trying to get across the point that the funny-looking, pudgy-faced Brown couldn’t hold a candle to the women whose looks she denigrates. I can’t stand that woman!!
