This is the first of the recall elections. The next one is next week. The previous election you were referring to was a primary election. The Republicans ran some candidates as “fake democrats” to try to make them spend some money to defend. It was not the recall election.

....Sen. Dave Hansen (D-Green Bay) was the first to face a recall election, and he easily survived the challenge last month.
Attention now turns to next week's recall elections, against Democratic Sens. Jim Holperin of Conover and Bob Wirch of Pleasant Prairie.
