Watch Wisconsin: Recall Day
By Michelle Malkin August 9, 2011 11:23 AM
Just a reminder: Todays the day the big-spending public employee unions hope to oust 6 GOP Wisconsin state senators not for any corruption, malfeasance, or criminal actions, but for making the tough decisions and supporting the fiscally responsible measures spearheaded by GOP Gov. Scott Walker.
Tea Party activists across the country stood with Walker. Dont forget to stand with the legislators who stood with Walker and stood against Big Labor. Much more than state GOP control of the legislature is at stake. Its a critical chance to reject the unions punitive payback against politicians who have the audacity to rein in bloated budgets and government pensions.
The targeted six are:
As I mentioned last week, turnout turnout turnout is everything on this lazy day of August.
Ill update throughout the day. If you are a Wisconsinite, be sure to give us your polling place report.
The invaluable MacIver Institute compiled a graphic on the Lefts out-of-state spending in the recall races
But I feel the elections today in Wisconsin are important and worth watching...
Honestly I havent heard much of this except the last 2 days on MSNBC and the few threads on FR. Hoping and praying the good people of Wisconsin sees thru the UNION thugs. Fingers crossed.
For the regular folks in Wisconsin budget and unemployment rates have gotten better.
Good information.
AFL-CIO -> $5 million +
NEA -> $200,000 +
AFSCME -> $2.8 million +
This money, and others, go into a group called We are WI, which totals $11 million +
The graphic also shows MoveOn.org (California) is involved.
It is hard to read the image to get all the numbers...
Since they actually live in Wisconsin [as opposed to some folks who may be voting but not live in Wisconsin], they can try to make this a hopefully somewhat honest election.
But with Union Thugs involved, the NEA, and MoveOn.org, who knows...
In our area (Darling v Pasch) its reported in some areas that turnout could be close to Presidential level.
Shorewood out real strong (favors Pasch)
Maybe 50/50 here in Bay
Huge turnout from reports in Mequon, Germantown, Menominee Falls (Strong Darling areas).
We shall see but at least here in Darling’s district I think we hold.
bump for all day viewing...
Diana is obviously poll watching today or we already would have one! :)
I posted a comment in another thread about needing a Breaking News story, and that thread got bumped!
What time do the polls close? Do they have voter ID in place?
Heads up: It's Recall Day in Wisconsin Today! (Results will have bearing on the rest of the country)
It from Hot Air with Ed Morrissey as the author on Hot Air...
I don’t think they did voter id. Bad move when you control the show before an election like this.
I did not grab the right link for the graphic [to see it clearly] from the MacIver Institute. Kudos to the MacIver Institute!!!
Below is a graphic that is much more readable:
It is on a web page called:
Liberal Recall Money Matrix
Worth seeing where the millions of dollars in recall money is coming from that is targeting the Republicans...
YES, Wisconsin DID pass Voter ID - but as the wheels of Gubmit move slowly it will not be activated / legal for this election. Bad call, isn’t it?
At one polling place in the primaries, a Dem rat literally tossed his voter ID at a poll worker. Well, well, you can’t purchase any liquor, get a movie or see the doctor without showing ID. What the heck, Dems? Rock moved, bugs scurrying in sunlight. ha ha ha ha. LOVE it.
