The dead man, an illegal weapons and drug dealer, was armed and shot at police who returned fire. The police who went in to apprehend the man, shot back, killing their attacker.

Haven’t done much digging, honestly, but I have yet to see that info. WHere did you come across that? I’m only half paying attention to the news out of London at the moment.

It appears this is incorrect. See post 79 for link- the officer claims that he never said the suspect shot at him, only that he (the officer) was in fear for his life. The bullet found in police radio appears to have been police issue. Looks like this may have been a case of friendly fire.
Note to all Brits-don’t sell drugs and wave modified starter pistols at armed police.
