Sporadic violence has broken out in several parts of London as police are attacked with missiles - including petrol bombs - and shops are looted in a third day of civil disorder.
The latest unrest in the capital was centred around Hackney in east London and Lewisham and Peckham in the south of the capital.
In Hackney, shops were attacked, and objects including chairs and pieces of wood were thrown at officers in riot gear.
At one point, several people broke into the back of a stationary lorry.
They pulled its contents out onto the road, and some hurled it at police, while others used it to smash windows of a parked bus.
Pictures from Sky's helicopter showed a police line, running at youths trying to disperse them from the main shopping area.

Sign of things to come?
It’s official. England is finally turned into a third world poop hole.
Clockwork orange
Petro bombs? I hope these protesting have paid for their carbon credits prior to using them.
Yup. Coming to a country near you.
ping for this very important town ;-)
Glad I live rurally. About the only excitement we get are cows getting lose and the occasional vandalism.
Belt fed weapons should do the trick.
No mention of the racial aspect, etc.
Apparently violence just “happens” sometimes in some places.
What we need is a “War On Violence”. :)
I’ve seen “Hackney” on some of the buses in London. :)
I wanted to get a pic for you, but they were always moving and my camera was never in quick enough reach.
Scenes right out of The Children of Men movie, I wonder why they aren’t saying what religion these black protesters happen to be? Must be Amish TEA Party.....
Anarchist punks. They are the MOST extremely extreme.
Seriously crazy.
I hope the police are rounding them up and putting them in jail.
"I don't understand why the police aren't allowed to just gun them down. No loss to the country at all."
Sucks to be Hackney.
Maybe their generator quit?
How many hours/days are you from the nearest cities?
Trouble starts there but like a fire if it isn’t properly contained it spreads in search of fuel/food.
Lots of pictures:

* Police in Birmingham say several shops have been attacked
* Shops closed early in Islington, Kilburn, and Stratford amid fears of more lawlessness
* Barriers put up around Westfield Shopping Centre in case violence starts
* 300 officers drafted in from 12 other forces to bring unrest under control
* 215 people arrested since Saturday night - including one aged 11 - and 25 charged
* Twitter users could be arrested for inciting violence, warns police chief
* Claims bullet found in police radio was issued by the force
* Scotland Yard faces criticism over its readiness for the riots, despite repeated warnings

I’d love to say it won’t happen here, but it already is happening. Flash mobs. My fear is a group of whites will band together and respond violently in kind, which either may slow it down or hasten martial law.
