However keep in mind that President GW(dumb ass doofus) Bush was the one who coined the phrase "Islam is a religion of peace" barely 2 or 3 weeks after 9-11. Yep, I was also appalled when GWB said Islam was a “religion of peace” as the smoke and dust hadn’t yet cleared from the WTC wreckage.
He, like so many others, wanted desperately to believe this was the fault of a few madmen - not typical Muslim behavior.
However, a few minutes spent researching Islam shows that it’s anything but peaceful, and absolutely does not play nicely with other religions or non-believers.
We paid a terrible price to gain this knowledge. And some still refuse to believe it.
However, I’ve never doubted GWB’s genuine love of country. I can’t say the same about our current CIC.
