I think AIM Surplus had a limited supply of those Stars a little while ago.
There is always something.
Like I said,I wish the Star BM was still available cheap, but it had issues too.
Its heavy (but concelable) and there are limited spare parts available.
Best wishes.
G’nite and thanks for the thread!
I think that was the full size model B and they were like $350
You’re right. Now that I think about it, they looked like full size 1911’s.
You can get a Keltec .380 or 9mm for a little over $200. I plan to get one someday.
I still want one of those
I havent seen them that cheap.
More like $285 FOR THE .380
I dislike the long DA trigger but have wanted one for a ling time due to its concealability. I like the pocket clip (damn good idea)
I have a friend thats a big ol boy who owns the 9 and he says its not that concealable.
What about one of these guys?

Not very expensive, but I don’t know anything about them.
The design is very close.
The BM also. its just more compact.
Nice example.
Cimmaron makes faithful reproductions.
I know nothing of their 1911
Classic aint it? ;)
I bought the Rock island armory 1911 when they were $350
works like a hose.
Dang, what a deal!!
Thanks for the Gun Talk thread mylife. Informative as always!!
Have a great week and don’t melt on the sidewalk.
I have been happy with the Rock Island. Its just GI but who needs fancy sights on a gun that wont be used outside of 25 feet?
Thank you sir!!!
Late chiming in as usual.
Can’t recommend as to “best buy” between brands/models. Just wanted to affirm as to choice of flattop.
Out of nostalgia I purchased mine with sighted gas block and removeable carry handle. Wish I’d gone with flattop and fold-down BUIS instead. Leaner & less bulky is the way to go.
I bought a Bushmaster Carbon 15 Ultra-light, Saturday. Without a magazine it weighs in at just over five pounds. With folding sights, a laser and magazine, I can shoot it one-handed, off-hand! It feels like a Toys ‘R’ Us thing but it shoots great! Ran a few mags of 556 steel core 62 grain Lake City through it. Not one hiccup of any kind. Gonna put my bore sight on it this week and zero it, then add an optic of some sort. Really like the PMAG magazines I bought to feed it with.
