I think it’s safe to say that almost none of Obama’s previous voters are going to turn out for him in 2012. Even the most Amerikka-hating libs are starting to get scared. It’s beginning to sink in that almost nobody is recession-proof in this economy. However much you may hate your country, if it goes down you’re going down with it.
For instance, even the most mindless of black voters can’t help but notice that, as much as whitey is suffering, they’re suffering twice as bad.
Self-preservation will out.

With respect, I think you underestimate politics. By the time the Dems are done spewing class warfare, racial and social division, and fear mongering potential entitlement cuts, these people will return to vote to protect themselves from the real danger - the Tea Party and rich Republican corporatists. This will be an outrageously ugly campaign. Mark my words.
Our best hope is he simply doesn't get as many of them; enough to get a credible GOP candidate (if we can find one) squeak by.

His poll numbers are still in the low 40’s.
