Read what I said. Texas does not have a state income tax so none of us pay it...including Texas teachers. They have more take home pay than teachers in states with a state income state that are giving salary with one hand and taking it back in the form of taxes with the other.

Yes we have property taxes in TX...but has zero to do with income tax.

Teachers get paid. Then they turn around and give back to the school district—>state thousands in property taxes. In other states it’s part of their income tax. We in Texas don’t pay “income” taxes, but we still pay, just like everyone else in every other state.
Quit trying to act as though teachers in Texas get some kind of bargain.

To the others on this thread— this is my last off-topic comment.
