I started using soaker hoses instead of sprinklers to water the grass since it has been windy. That was a recommendation on one of the local gardener shows.

The other show that talks about things around the house said to lay soaker hoses a few inches from your foundation to keep it from cracking.

I’ve been wondering the same thing about the foundation. Had moved the sprinkler closer to the back side of the house this AM for that reason. I normally don’t water the sides because one side is impossible to get to but I can certainly handwater the fourth side.

Have you started your fall transplants? When will you be putting them out? It’s so hot that I’ve been putting off starting them but time is ticking away to get in a fall garden. Noticed a neighbor is building a greenhouse.
