They have been reasonably successful at demonizing the Tea Party.
They have completely failed at convincing America that the Tea Party's position on the debt is wrong.
All but the liberal kook base knows we need to cut spending -- by a lot -- and very soon.

“after fractious negotiations over the debt limit led to the loss of nations AAA credit rating on Friday”
What a bold face lie, it wasn’t the “fractious negotiations over the debt limit” that lead to the downgrade.

What a hack, it was Obama that said we would default.

LIARS! That’s not what led to it. It is DC’s irresponsible runaway debt spending that led to it! The Republican House passed Cut, Cap, and Balance. It the Rat Senate hadn’t killed it and instead sent it to the President’s insisting that he sign it, this wouldn’t have happened!

"...Its hard to see how we avoid a Tea-Party recession..."Hm. Pretty easy. Just go straight to a liberal tax and spend depression.

They wanted members of the TEA Party rounded up and sent to concentration camps in the desert southwest.

Ruben said Obama should never have allowed Tea-Party lawmakers in the House to treat a debt-limit extension as a concession to Democrats given the nations entire economy depended on it. There's a real problem when it's assumed that the economy depends on government spending.

The president has been careful not to blame the Tea Party for the nations credit downgrade even though many Democrats and some independent political experts think he could make a strong case. The Tea Party has been in Washington for a grand total of 7 months and they are at fault?? Ridiculous.
To: Sub-Driver
Odd. Rep. Ryan’s proposal is the only one addressing our problems. Redistribution of wealth through massive tax increases is, however, the only move that our political establishment will consider. If the 2012 election takes place it won’t be free and fair.
