I've flown enough rotor wing to have circumnavigated the globe, and had a full menu of close calls and near misses, so I'm a little more jaded to the idea of catastrophic accidents. Helicopters are convenient, but there's always an element of danger. Always. Whenever I see a crash I can't help but think, "There but for the grace of God go I."

Beyond that, even if Obama wanted to take these guys out, there's simply no way to assassinate a Teir I SOF team without a very high chance of being caught. The Rube Goldberg type plot device you'd need to get from 'order given' to 'task execution' could be exposed in a thousand ways, and would literally mean the end of life as you know it to all involved.

Tragic, yes. Sad, definitely. Fishy, no.

You would know, but my only point was that you were taking away ALL possibility that it could have been something else. Helicopters crash, yes (I never have and never will ride in one), but this one is worth investigating. FULLY. Let’s not just blow it off as business as usual. You could be right, maybe not.
