The injured people were white; the attackers were African-American, witnesses said. Where in Africa are they from?
I'm kinda over this "African"-American identifier thing for Black people.
I have white friends from Africa who are also tired of being lumped into this use of "African-American" to denote Black persons.

My daughter had a friend in high school who got into an excellent private college on a full scholarship because she was an “African-American”. Her family had emigrated from South Africa when she was a child. They were pure Afrikaans stock, all blond haired and blue eyed....

Humans did not arise separately in different parts of the world. They arose in Africa and spread out from there. We are all African Americans. Unless they throw in the “darker than a brown paper bag” thing.

Me too. I noticed these Americans who were actually born in Africa are never referred to as "African American". Meanwhile I've heard some dimwits in the media refer to blacks in other countries who have never set foot in America as "African American".
