Essentially, the execrable Maher put the words in her mouth. But she's a fool for mouthing them.
That's not the point. The point is that Christine Romer was one of the Obama Administrations top Board Of Economic Ad visors.
She resigned because as she put it, “our policies have not worked and we really did not understand e=what we were doing” after pushing through a TRILLION dollar “Stimulus” which has made our economy worse and has squandered, mostly for political payoff, not economic benefit, pretty much all the assets available to help work us out of this serious economic downturn.
SHE is as personally responsible for the misery that is about to descend on this country as is any one single person can be.
I am brought to tears thinking of how many families are going to lose their home, jobs and life savings because of her ill conceived waste of a frickin trillion dollars, the single biggest wasted financial expenditure in world history, that consumed all of this countries financial reserves and devoured it's economic seed corn.
She exhibits no shame, no remorse and most of all no empathy for the misery that she has caused and is going to cause millions of American and actually giggles like a little girl the we are ,"pretty darn F**ked" like it is funny. I wonder if all of the children's lives that she has ruined and going to giggle while their lives are "pretty darn F**ked"
This is the real world where your actions have consequences, not some University coffee house where you debate whether you deserved a A or a B on an exam, and you don't get partial credit for destroying the worlds largest economy
Yes, it was the point. Her line wasn't spontaneous and it was pre-planned is the only point I was making.
You were making the larger point. And I didn't dispute it.
So, why criticize me?
As the research suggests, for every dollar of additional taxes that the government collects, there is approximately $3 of lost economic output for the U.S. economy.
