I can remember growing up, and well into the 90s, that people would crow “ America is the greatest country on Earth”. No one says that any more. Thanks to you, President Obama, for the first time in my life I’m ashamed to be an American.
I am (still) proud to be an American. America maybe and possibly is in for rough roads ahead. Most Americans (the majority) are the Best, Most Industrious, and have the Will to overcome any adversity. The going may get rough, yet this is when the rough and tough Americans will get going toward solutions. No wonder the politicians, on both sides of the isle, hate Americans. Real Americans are not going down without making an attempt to right this nation and save her. The politicians thought they could walk over us. This will turn out not to be true ... imho
