Those would be the unemployed people in line in front of you with the train of heaping carts of food that look like the horn of plenty, while you’re holding your hand basket deciding what 10 items you can’t do without.
I worked as a cashier in the late 70’s and I saw lots of people going thru the cart to put up what they really needed first and then slowly add the non essentials until they had used all their money they had for that trip. Then some welfare queen would come in and just chunk stuff up there like she was the queen of sheba.
