When investigators arrived, the deputy claimed he had reached into the other car while the other driver was trying to flee, and was dragged 15 feet before he started firing. The incident, however, was caught on tape, showing that he wasn't dragged.

Whoops...

Hard to believe the caliber of cops being hired nowadays.

Lack of evidence??

Let’s see... filing a false report (the dragging part) and bullet holes in the car. That should be enough to get started, I would think.

Yeah, the other guy should get hit with a ‘leaving the scene of an accident’ citation, but at least he didn’t try to kill anybody.

Not sure about California, but around here the police don’t come out to take accident reports on fender benders on private or commercial property.
