I doubt they have a conscious or they couldn't. So no skin off their nose....probably just show time to them...and then pay day arrives.
Brainwashing goes on in law school to convince students that it is a good thing for them to defend a dirtbag.
It's good that law school brainwashing doesn't work for every student. Some of them, somehow, are able to graduate, become prosecutors, and go after dirtbags.
