It probably is more expensive but it would be a good option for traveling.

I would agree, if price isn't a problem. It is for me as I'm now retired and lived on a (barely) reasonable fixed income. I quit flying after the TSA was created and have no plans to ever fly again if I can help it so I'll stick (no pun intended) to the vial and needle method. In the process I'm rediscovering America from behind the wheel of my vehicle when I travel. A real bonus for me.

We rarely fly anymore, it is just too uncomfortable. Seeing the country in my Tahoe is much better. :)

As far as the insulin is concerned I thought we could take 3 oz. of liquid on the plane, what happened to that? Have you ever seen a container of insulin that big?
