Take up reading, my response was about his statement about west, there is that little comma in the statement. Did not say he supported the debt deal ,perry, but he did not say anything until the poll results were in. Then I said if Perry follows his political history he will switch sides tomorrow.
Perry was one of only five or six governors who actually signed the state version of the cut, cap, and balance act, and he was already running Texas in such a fashion.
Also, Perry did make a public statement against the deal two or three days before the vote. In fact, he came out strongly against it all in a public statement at least on July 27, 2011, perhaps earlier but I know at least July 27, 2011. I had not seen a Perry statement on these negotiations until August 1, but then someone on Free Republic posted a newspaper article dated July 27 which clearly showed Perry’s view.
