There is no transcript. The Court reporter hasn't had time to transcribe anything yet. The Judge offered to have the Court reporter read them anything of Rebecca Musser’s testimony they would like to hear. SOP.
They also want to re-listen to all 3 tapes. Understandable to me. If they were listening with head phones and someone was jumping up and down in front of them - they may have been distracted.
Re: Becky Musser’s testimony. She gave many definitions that were specific to the sect Mr. Jeffs belongs to. Perhaps this was new information to them and they want to compare the definitions she gave with the things they're hearing on the tape.
I'd call that a serious and thoughtful jury.
Where I got my information was the T.V. show In Session. The tape of him raping the little girl while other people were present also had a transcript for the jury to follow along with. That’s the only tape that had a transcript and that’s the one the jury wants to listen to again. Again, according to In Session.
There is one piece of evidence that should convict him and that is DNA proving he fathered a child with a 14 year old. They don’t need a tape.
There is a transcript of at least ONE of the audio tapes. There was testimony about how long it took to get it transcribed (Over 5 hours).
The jury wasnts to hear all 3 audio tapes plus review part of the Musser testimony (I’m thinking it is the ‘get close’ part).
