Polygamist leader’s Texas trial goes to jury

SAN ANGELO, Texas The child sexual assault case against polygamist leader Warren Jeffs has gone to the jury.
Jeffs acted as his own attorney and stood mute during nearly all 30 minutes Thursday of his allotted time for a closing argument. At one point he mumbled, “I am peace,” and said no more.

In Session on TruTV also reports that he sat silent for his 30 minutes; when his time was up, the judge said, The Defense rests. During that time, the In Session reporter also says the tried to stare down the jury, one by one. However, not a single one of them averted their gaze.
