In Laura Ingalls Wilder books she describes a friend (or I think cousin) who married at 13 - to a YOUNG MAN OF HER CHOICE. Laura’s parents thought it too young, as did Laura, but it was at that time culturally acceptable. I read freepers commenting that their grandparents often married young - as young as 14 for the grandmother, later teens or early 20s for grandfather.
There is a HUGE GIANT GULF OF DIFFERENCE between the young marriages described above and the vile and criminal pedophilia practiced by Jeffs and who knows who else in that LDS pervert cult.

Child rape as practiced by this LDS splinter group is being whitewashed as "polygamy". It is merely child rape, even worse, under the guise of "religion".
