POMPANO BEACH The federal government has indicted the mother and grandparents on a charge of international parental kidnapping of Pompano Beach toddler Gabrielle "Gabby" Dahm in August 2010. The child's father says she was taken to the Middle East.
An Interpol alert has also been issued for the three adults and child.
Christopher Dahm has sought the return of his daughter, who will turn 3 on Dec. 28, from his ex-wife Leslie Delbecq since the child's disappearance last summer. Dahm was awarded sole custody of Gabby by a Broward judge in October.

Unusual only in gender reversal. What do folks think the end result will be when they marry and procreate with a person from the ‘Middle East’? It’s not like it is a case of first impression.

Her parents are Belgium. Thanks, I didn't originally click through. I saw the French names, and first though of Syria/Lebanon.
How sweet. The baby was born on their 3 month anniversary.

Interesting comment at the link:
“No mention of the fact that Christopher Dahm is a recently convicted felon, and during the divorce his ex-wife raised concerns about having him in their child’s life. The court didn’t listen. Women don’t give up everything and run with their child without a good reason. Add that her parents gave up everything also, and you have to know there’s another side to this story.
And he’s now a “financial consultant” when he was convicted for organized fraud?!”

Yes... its interesting BUT it is just a comment. Anyone can make anything up. I would think the paper would have mentioned it. He was awarded custody so I guess IF he is a ex felon the judge liked him better & thought he was better for the child then the mother who took off to live in Abu Dhabi. I would need more hard evidence of his convict status then a random comment before I judge him. I googled his name & found an earlier article which also had no mention of him being a felon.

It is also possible that she didn’t have a lawyer in which case the Court would just give him the custody........

Very true. But if she had the money to go run with the child then why wouldn’t she get a lawyer & fight it out in court? I would rather go to court & do things the legal way then run. By running she looks guilty even if she isn't. IF her ex was a felon I would think that would give her a better chance of custody. I need more info before I can say he is a felon or she had reason to take a child out of the country & break the law. I can understand the fear of losing a child since I am a mother. But I've known women to teach their kids to lie about daddy. And lie in court. If there wasn't something wrong in this picture a judge would have settled it. IMO we aren't getting the full story.

She’s gone. In 3-6 years, her mother will marry her off to a man the father’s age. The father might as well have a funeral and move on with his life - he’s lost his little girl.

Believe it or not, this guy was convicted fr a huge list of felony, drug abuse, domestic violence, felony. All this could be verified on google, but disappeared since a few weeks. He is on probation until 2016. Good person isn't it? I believe he is using his history to get money. An other way of wat he was using to do. Now you can find him on google as a financial advisor with a doctor degree??? Spend a time on googele you will be surprised!!!
