I guess Pakistan is in Asia, but it seems to give a bad name to Asians when this really has nothing to do with being an Asian, but has everything to do with something that is not mentioned in the article.
You are correct. Pakistan, Afghanistan India and Bangladesh are all geographically Asian. In Britain, people from the aforementioned countries used to be referred to as South Asians, which is a more specific term, in the old days but the PC crowd felt it was discriminatory. People from the Far East were just “Chinese” since most Far East immigrants were from China or Hong Kong.
Exactly, which is why I have gone back to using “Oriental” to describe the “Yellow” peoples-—usually Buddhist-—you described.
“Oriental” may not be PC but at least it doesn’t mix them up with damnable muzzies.
