Good morning. I’m sure this is the coolest past of today.

I got home on time, but my A/C went out the following morning throughout the downstairs. My Pug Jack suffered a heat stroke and almost died, but I carried him upstairs to where the A/C is working (thank God) and managed to revive him. Yesterday I put tinfoil on all the 8 foot window panels on this side of the house to try to keep out the blazing sunlight but the inside of the house still was over 100 degrees downstairs. I bought 4 fans with the hope of using them while I sat at my computer where I belong, but some idiot driving his truck hit the traffic light down on the corner, so the neighborhood lost power for 6 VERY LONG hours. I can’t get *my* computer to turn on -— I have no idea why -— so now I need to try to find someone to come over to see about that.

The A/C company is supposed to show up sometime today. I was cooking last night and looked at the thermometer which read 115, so I turned off the stove and gave one of my patients a can of tuna and the other a tuna salad sandwich and some jello. Life is good. I am thankful I’m not in pain.

I miss you all and hope to be back here later today in lovely A/C. I swear if a new compressor needs to be ordered, I don’t know what I’ll do. Slit wrists Or get soused...lol.

My A/C went kaput last summer.
Now I'm glad I have a new system..with no end in
sight to 100+ days

Welcome back, dear O! Wow .. what misery. Poor you all. That kind of heat is miserable beyond words. Hang in there, sweetie. Thank God ole Jack is OK .. and you're all safe. Wear clothing sparsely .. LOL. Too bad you couldn't all pile into the car and go down to the pool and chill for awhile.
