“The real debt crisis is not a debate that has been imposed on Washington by Tea Party activists. It is a crisis Washington has imposed on the American people through laziness, incompetence, dishonesty and political expediency.”

Thank you Senator Coburn. That was the best line from the article.

In other words, he was “for it before he was agin it.”

Folks need to remember that this was true for most of the Republicans who voted against the final bill.

And yet, Coburn supported “cut, cap and balance,” which would have raised the debt ceiling by $2.4 TRILLION.

That fact sorta makes everything he’s saying in this piece ring hollow.

Just more Washington, DC Party hot air.

Are there any politicians pure enough for you?

Politicians are killing us. We need principled statesmen.

Folks who won’t offer support for trillions more in debt that our generation cannot possibly repay.

I guess it was more than could be expected to get a "yes" or "no" answer, or even an answer that related to the question.

D@mn, it must be tough being you. How do you do it?

Personnel IS policy.

So, do you see any deficiency in personnel in the Congress, considering the fact that there were only NINE Republicans in the House who didn’t vote to raise the debt ceiling by $2. 4 TRILLION?

Coburn, supposedly one of the good guys doesn’t even mention pro growth economic policy. It’s as if everyone in Washington has completely forgotten about it.

A statesman is nothing but a dead politician. And, yes, we need more statesmen.

Nice sidestep, if a bit obvious.

Seriously...how do you get up in the morning? Nothing like knowing breakfast is a crap sandwich every day, and we're out of mayo...there's no elected official pure enough to meet your standards. Must be tough to know you only have disappointment to look forward to every day.

You have no plan to deal with any imperfect officials, other than "off with their heads!" You're in a strategic cul-de-sac, because we have only imperfect officials.

I guess it would explain the grumpiness, but still!

When they're useless or worse, why would anyone need any other plan than that?
