Though a Palin supporter, I take issue with the word "victory." She was referring to the fact that it would have been much worse if not for the Tea Party - and in that way it's more positive than negative.

She could have said, "better than hoped for," or "not perfect but ok," or "something we can live with for now."

But "victory" it isn't. Doesn't even make a dent in spending.

As a supporter I do not expect perfection from her. I reserve the right to disagree if appropriate. But I would crawl over broken glass to vote for her.

Greta had just waxed eloquent about what a great ‘victory’ it had been for the tea party, before asking Palin a leading question.

Palin was IMO largely being polite in acknowledging some baseline of Greta’s assumption before challenging it.
