Why shouldn’t the four year old get a permit and health inspection? What gets me is exactly the opposite, WHY DOES ANYONE DOING BUSINESS NEED GOVT PERMISSION (PERMIT) and a health inspection to do business? Why do people get worked up about a kid on a corner being busted, but if adults opened a bar, they gladly pule and kiss the govt inspectors gluteus maximus, and people tell them it is how an orderly society is run, and absolutely necessary.
...And while they were doing that, thieves were walking off with whatever they could steal while the cops were otherwise occupied.
If you want to see fascism run amok, come down to Myrtle Beach, SC and have a yard sale without a permit, park your boat in the driveway of your home (non-HOA community), do a repair on your home without a permit, etc. The city counsel has put so many regulations in effect that there is very little that can be done without a permit. THey have even levied an addition 1% sales tax hike without a vote to increase the revenue. There are neighbors ratting out neighbors about everything from clandestine construction to out of state license plates on the vehicles in the drive.
We think that one of the reasons that we are getting harassed is the little yellow flag that I fly under the American flag on my front porch. Well, maybe also the plethora of Sarah 2012 stickers on my cars and boat :>).
I wanted to go to the city counsel meetings and raise a little heck, but one old timer here told me that if I did, the money that controls the area would make life so difficult that we would have to leave.
YES, we were sold out, but liars telling us we absolutely CANNOT turn away from this path we are on. They say that it must be done slowly, or the economy will tank. BS, it is just another excuse to keep us buried until they spring the trap.

Like Michelle Bachman..he is on of MY inspirations for being on of the “informed” since I saw (most of) “ his film series” at age 14, and just recently watched it ALL again.
These rogue lemonade stands are a greater threat to the republic than any debt ceiling!
A summer or two ago, it seemed like any confrontation with our local police or sheriff dept could end in death for the citizen.
They have since toned down their authority, at least the stories aren’t making front page news these days.
Yeah put out a tip jar and give lemonade away but I like the idea of the kid having to make change and understand how much they have to put in to the business and see if they turn a profit or not
I know my city will not allow ice-cream trucks. Three of the city council people own convienience stores and they seemed to think the ice-cream truck was getting into thier business.
