In a discussion with Meet the Press host David Gregory and Tom Brokaw on Monday's NBC Today about the debt ceiling deal, co-host Ann Curry contemptuously wondered: "...do you think that members of the Tea Party Caucus know how to govern or are they do they understand that standing up for a cause is not the same as governing?" [Audio available here]Interestingly, Brokaw rejected Curry's argument: "Well, I don't think that you can separate the two. The fact is that they were elected to pursue the goals that they took before their constituents and

Mixed up, mixed race know it all. Where have I seen that before? Last night on a show she was hosting, I saw her even wearing a Michelle Obama boob belt. Birds of a feather...
I imagine her idea of governing is spending a lot of tax payer money. What an idiot.
Do progressive members of congress know how to govern, or are they just after all the taxpayer money they can get?
The real question is: Do the DC Hacks Know How To Govern.
DC Governing has brought us to the brink of destruction.
And instead of solving the problem, they do what they have always done...kick the can down the road. That’s not governing, that’s destruction in motion.
Spending taxpayer dollars. And ruling.

Well, in addition to recognizing that ANYONE off the street can fill the empty, no-talent-required role of “journalist”, we ALREADY know that nearly everyone in Washington currently, most definitely do NOT know how to govern.
I’d take the semi-literate guy that just serviced my septic system over any of the coiffed, cowardly Ivy League clowns that infest the Beltway.
Serious comment.
“Second verse, same as the first!”
Something is happening in Tom Brokaw’s brain. I listened to him on one of the Sunday morning talk shows, and he sounded positively like a conservative. He was praising the Tea Party, and being incredibly rational in his assessment of the state of our union and our debt crisis. Did he hav a “come to Jesus” moment? Did a light bulb switch on? I hope he continues in this same vein, because I like what I heard from him that day, and now, as per this thread, he’s still keeping it up.
Hey Ann? Iron My Shirt.
The correct compromise between a good idea and a bad idea is not a ‘half bad’ idea. The problem with the GOP up until now is that we’ve accepting of a whole bushel of half bad ideas.
How do you govern? Accept only the good ideas by exposing anything bad.
Do moronic, block-headed NBC news anchors know how to interview, report the news?
"Good morning, Good morning everybody, and the news this morning good morning." -Ann Curry
This is hilarious. Tea Party members of Congress have one and only one thing at their disposal; their willingness to vote yea or nay on a give issue. Other than that, few if any have any great power as committee chairs, etc. And that somehow is causing all this heartburn with liberals.
Does any one here feel the need to be governed?
Where was this clown Curry and his political acumen before the Tea Party existed? When the 'Rats had both houses and the presidency? Running us into the financial ditch isn't an accomplishment to brag about.
So, Does the Democratic, Progressive/Soros,'Rat party 'Know How to Govern'?
Oh, by the way, Annie, the Tea Party is not a political party; it's a political party-free place, a multi party idea, so simple, that even you should be able to understand it.
Taxed Enough Already
The adherents of that philosophy don't care to govern; they just are alert to see that those who are elected to govern act as if they have an IQ over 50. Is that too complicated for you?
“Id take the semi-literate guy that just serviced my septic system over any of the coiffed, cowardly Ivy League clowns that infest the Beltway.”
That would be a pretty fair trade since they both deal in the same product.
