Lets don’t leave out Costco. They announced recently that their lamb is now all halal. We went in there several weeks ago and went up to the meat counter and talked to the guy behind the window. We asked him if all the lamb is halal or just some of it. ALL OF IT IS HALAL. Its just unbelievable. We will never buy lamb there again. So if you are a Christian don’t eat the lamb from Costco. They will probably try to tell you Kosher is the same process which is basically true except that the Kosher slaughter is just to make sure the blood all gets drained out of the meat. Halal is a sacrifice to Allah. In other words a sacrifice to Idols.
Just spreading the word.
If the meat hasn't been tampered with and tastes the same, then I -- for the life of me -- can't see why it matters what mumbo-jumbo was spoken over it. It just does not affect me and it does not affect you. Why are you giving it supernatural powers?
Now, don't get me wrong, I think Islam is a vicious religion, but this hubbub over halal food seems a bit overwrought. It only means that the food you and I always eat also meets the requirements of Muslims.
As far as the Whole Foods campaign, I'm hard put to decide whether I'd rather go into one of their stores and run into Muslims or old hippies. I'm leaning former.
