I think much of it is BS... hay around here is $6 a bale. I don’t know where he is buying his hay at $200 a bale!

Alfalfa for Sale, 1st Cutting, Big Round Bales, No Rain, $150 ton & $90 ton

******

“Brett Porter, who farms 3,000 hectares, unrolls the last of his hay in front of a thirsty line of prime Angus cattle. With just 18 bales left, and at $200 (£123) a bale on the open market, when he runs out he will have to sell the cows.”

I feel sorry for the pretty young lady. There's little that is more traumatic for a 14-year-old girl than to be in those circumstances.

As for Maurice, the "successful" manager of a car dealership or fleet or whatever, his criminal history would make him unemployable anywhere, anytime.
