You are right. Our two RINO’s Chambliss and Isakson can’t wait to vote “aye”.

That crap stopped working 15 months ago. Obama speaks and he loses 2 points. Unless the economy improves, he’s done.

This is theater. McConnell, Snowe, Collins, Brown.. there’s four of your 7 Republicans needed. Add maybe Kay Bailey Hutchinson, a couple from the Gang of Six, McCain and Graham... It won’t be hard to break the filibuster. There will be plenty on board.

If the Tea Party members are hobbits, I guess that makes Pelosi and Reed Orcs. Yuck.

Jim DeMint is hiding ... He is.

Good grief. Read post #10 right above yours. If a filibuster will obviously fail in this current Senate, why would Senator Jim DeMint, who is as conservative as it gets in the U.S. Senate, back something that fails immediately? He's planning to fight another day. In January, 2013, he's Senate Majority Leader. He and Senator Lee are on the same side.

As war strategy, you are arguing for Pickett's Charge. Please remind me, how did that work out?

Murkowski

Hatch

Hutchinson

That makes ten. More than enough to break the filibuster.

Cornyn too

As you say more than enough RINOs to break Senator Lee’s filibuster. But at least he’s trying.

God bless you Senator Lee.

Am I the only one who finds it weird that The Tea Party is getting so much flack for opposing this budget when they have virtually no power to stop anything?

How many Tea Partiers are there in The Senate? Three or four?

How many Tea Partiers are in The House? We're told 20 Tea Partiers are holding the country hostage. You telling me there aren't more than 20 RATS to make up for the extremist Tea Partiers?

Rush and Beck are right. We are being played for suckers. By RATS, the Libturd Media AND Republicans.

Somebody with courage! Make them get the 60 for cloture and put them all on the record.

Lee’s doing a good job endorsing candidates for the senate next year.

...I never heard of the guy.
Sure never heard him speak up during this debate.
Griping about a deal already essentially agreed to, looks to me like political positioning.

"Good. Best plan is the “Do Nothing Plan.” No debt ceiling increase. No tax increases. Government has too start cutting and prioritizing spending immediately. Don’t pass anything!"

Yup! Do nothing. Let the August 2 or 6th or 10th or whatever the Treasury now claims come and go. Watch our Country still exist; watch us pay our debts; watch the obscene Fedgov have to cut spending in their "sacred cow" areas; watch them write the checks to the military and Social Security. Obama wouldn't dare stop those payments.

Unfortunately, the above won't happen. The GOP will once again cower to be seen as the good guys and included in DC parties, and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Watch!

You, Rush and Beck are right. The establishment is calling spending increases cuts and claiming they won.

I’ve got a $100 million in a Nigerian bank I’ll sell for $1,000 to anyone who believes this is a good deal.

"This bill will have “NOT TEA PARTY” written all over it"

Pretty much what many of the MSM is already promoting, including Bill O'Reilly on Fox News. Will never watch him again, and I've told him so.

Although it's against the principles of the grassroots TEA Party movement, some times I wish there were a few TEA Party outspoken leaders to articulate our Conservative position. The TEA Party gets beat up every day on the MSM, but there are few to argue the counter-points.

The media are trying to label this a ‘tea party bill’ because they know as well as we do that it doesn’t really help. For now our economic problems are just going to get worse- and they’d love to blame us.

But since it’s going to be passed tonight by only Dems and RINOs, they just have a day to push that falsification.

I think this debate has put the Tea Party and it’s message in good position- though, of course, I wish Washington had passed a bill that really helped.

Lee is an honest constitutionalist. I don’t believe he’s trying to position himself politically. I don’t think he cares.
