I hate the kind of cops Tom is describing.
I also dislike folks who think a rich guy should be allowed to own a gun, but not the guy that lives in a doublewide.
The 2nd amendment applies to all.

Thanks.
My concealable inventory is a little weak.
Got a .38 Spc derringer. (Only two shots, obviously.)
I also have a little Raven Arms .25 auto that fits in a pocket. (I've got a holster for it but it's a standard belt clip.) .25 auto is pretty darned light.
The only other handguns I currently own are 4” barrel service revolvers. Hard to conceal in the summer.

Those are spiffy hats. The light will help me see into the safe.

Austin would be a great town if it wasnt for jerks like that.

Get a .38 special or a CZ 82
You’ll be glad you did
The little Raven was my very first pistol.
I figured it was Ok for putting in an ear.
Its a POS but its better than nothing. It got me out of a car jacking in the barrio and it toasted a rattle snake while I was taking a pee.
I guess it’s paid for it self. It cost $40 way back when

Yep, I’ve always been kind of fond of .38 snubbies (or .357)

We all know the .25 is woefully under powered, but I read an interesting article the other week that compared actual stats of all calibers.
It showed that 2 pops from any caliber were just as lethal.

Whats really nice about the airweight 38 special is that it is SO concealable

For autos, I have been kind of interested in the CZ82. (Primarily because of the price.)
Do you carry yours? How about you 50?

I do carry mine.
I have lots of more pricy and powerful pistols, but I CARRY the CZ82.
Its compact, its accurate, its dependable, it’s potent.
The fact that it’s inexpensive does not detract from any of that.

Hey 50. Got a range question for ya. My spotting scope came with a tripod, but even when set as short as it will go without the legs extended, it's still too high to use from the prone firing position.
Do you know of someone that makes a reasonable (read cheap) scope stand that would solve my problem?

I used to rely on a 1911, but I found I often left it at home because it was to difficult to conceal (particularly in summer)
A gun thats not on you is worthless.

A gun thats not on you is worthless.I concur.
One of the benefits of the permit is now I can instantly buy if I come across a good deal without having the background check crap, etc.

The CZ 82 is a fine gun. I will be carrying it come Nov. 1 (when our CC law takes effect)
