There’s talk about it being hard to get to a majority on the House side, normally 218. However it currently has three de jure vacancies. Plus there is the de facto absence of Rep. Giffords. But if they are one vote away DON’T BE SURPRISED to see her wheeled in to cast the ‘winning’ vote. She may not yet be well enough for that to be a medically wise choice. But her side certainly has the chutzpah to use her and she is functional enough to physically do the minimum required. Those drama queens will want to squeeze maximum drama out if her return, if and when it ever happens. I doubt they’ll get a better chance than this. All here can easily imagine the media coverage. Somebody on our side needs to think of an appropriate response, just in case.

Why bother anymore with the farce of submitting a budget, just let every dept spend what it wants and put it on the charge card.
