Sen. John McCain, Republican of Arizona, specifically ripped a member of his own party, as well as the tea party conservatives, on the Senate floor this afternoon. Here's what he said: I came to the floor a couple of days ago and made that comment, and the Senator from Illinois (Durbin) and I are in agreement, point number one. you can prioritize -- I think the Senator and every economist I know literally would agree. You can prioritize for awhile where you want what remaining money is left, but the message you send to the world, not just our markets but to the world, that the United States of America is going to default on its debts is a totally unacceptable scenario and beneath a great nation. We are in agreement. Number one: passage through the United States Senate of a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution of the United States, as I said before, is not fair to the American people because, because the terrible obstructionists on this side of the aisle, the terrible people, their flawed philosophical views about the future of America is not going to allow to us get 20 additional votes from your side, assuming that you get all 47 since it requires 67 votes to pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution. The member he was referring to is Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA).

Toomey is my newly elected Senator. He should have been there 6 years ago but for the obstruction by the good old boys that kept Arlen Specter. McCain is of that same ilk...and has long since reached his ‘use by’ date. Step aside, Mr. McCain and let a common sense, hard wrking Conservative show you how to get the people’s work done.
“.....beneath a great nation.”? It will be a greater nation when people like McCain are no longer in office.
America’s Founders would not see Toomey and the others as “obstructionists.” Instead, they would see them as defending the essential ideas of liberty against the coercive abusives of a powerful political elite!
Shes Taking lessons from Romney
Funny how Juan is never shy about attacking conservatives, but always refers to leftists as “my friend from...”
I’m not sure McCain won’t come out against her if she runs. She should never trust this old coot.
Bullsh*t.
GO pat Go....McCain is nothing more than a demented clown. He mocks everything the GOP is suppost to stand for.
McCain should do us a favor and retire. Let him raise Llamas or grow tumbleweeds. Just leave John...please
Normally, I would say that's just 'keeping your friends close, but your enemies even closer.', but Juando doesn't roll that way.
McCain acts as if compromise is the ultimate goal, not the content of the bill. This is how we got into this mess. It is why our debt problem will not be resolved w/o complete, total, unavoidable, not fixable DEFAULT. No, not this time, but soon, very soon.
McCain is a senile, old coot. Has been for quite awhile. The last lucid, coherent and sane thought he had was to select Sarah Palin as his running mate. After that, the floodgates opened and his brains began leaking into his stomach and then out of his butt. And that is why he's been talking out of his a** for the past 2 1/2 years.
I think McCain's condition is hereditary. Ever hear his dumb-a** daughter Meghan speak?
Why? Governor Palin isn’t responsible for McCain. McCain is thanks to he good people of Arizona. Furthermore, he wouldn’t be lighting into Toomey without the silent approval of the Senate leadership.
“Terrible Obstructionist”
uh...John...THAT would be YOU!
Yeah....
What is it that makes Juan a Republican? Is there anything in the platform that he agrees with?
I she was to have any chance of becoming POTUS, she needed to get in front of this issue, as a step to overcome her negatives, this was a huge missed opportunity for her.
” Its time, time for Sarah Palin to denounce this turd.”
Palin just closed on a 1.75m home a few blocks from McCain.
And?
I can’t believe I voted for this stinky turd in 2008. I won’t hold my nose and vote for Romney in 2012 for the same reason!
Congratulations!! Senator Toomey!!!
Juan Mac PAIN , the Insane and Feeble Zero from Arizona has declared You the Most Important Senator of the United States!!! Now, lets pray that Juan MacPAIN will recognize he is about 100 times less relevant than the other hazard to America because of his senility and traitorous acts, Jimmy Carter!!
