Soldiers not getting paid seems to be a commie ‘RAT thing. The last time I can remember soldiers not getting paid is when Nobel Prize failure, Jimmah Cahtah was “president”.
How would you like to be a young 2nd LT, and have to figure out how to keep your squad or platoon, (or whatever it is) members’ morale up, particularly when they have to worry about wives and children at home.
This is horrible for morale, and might get some of our boys and girls killed by the worry and distraction of what is happening at home.
It should never have even been an issue. Pay the soldiers first, and let us grannies go without!
I say again, take my SS check, and give it to a soldier.
I really mean it. I am completely dependent on my SS.
I can eat rice and beans, but I want the young wives to have milk and fresh fruit for the her children, and for their spouses not to worry.
What can we do if “He” really holds up their pay.
Consider George W. Bush dealing with the same problem.
His message would've been that, despite the country's financial circumstances, troops in the field will be paid regardless.
But, to Obama, troops in the field are nothing more than political pawns. Just like the rest of "the public"...

Not paying them would’ve made Obama a national hero.
That would be true if their commanding general’s name would have been Pinochet or Franco.

I feel like that is exactly what he is trying to do. Destroy the existing military as we know it and rebuild it as an army of degenerates with blind devotion to himself.

Mullen is being disingenuous at best. Fed money is still rolling in to the tune of around $230 or so billion in August. If the military (Which my wife is active duty) does not get paid on 08-15 and 9-01 it is the fault of the Obama administration since the Treasury directs payment.
Obama is counting on the ignorant to create a crisis. The Fed government has enough $$$ to cover active duty pay (If Obama chooses to). The little boy community organizer is an embarrassment to this nation, especially to those in the military.
I thought Mullen was an Admiral before he went over there.
And the welfare cheats are damn sure going to get their checks, count on it!
His mealy-mouthed answer was digusting from a Joint Chief of Staff. Plus, don’t tell me that question was not answered.
Men answer one way and protect their troops.
Are you actually defending Mullen? If so, you may as well bend over.
Totally agree with you about the reassurance Mullen should have had before going. As I was writing my first response I was thinking that what it truly betrayed was his total lack of confidence in the President.
I don’t think it takes anything away from the fact that Mullen totally exacerbated the situation and raised the stress level. It really is unconscionable we’re in this situation.
It is possible all the principled Generals retired when this dip stick entered the White House. If they didn't, then shame on them.
