Yeah and they exported a lot of engineering and construction expertise to Saddam in helping him build his rocket and chemical warfare arsenal. If you don't believe me, check out the facilities they built for him at Al Kindi, just north of Mosul. Guess they just couldn't help themselves, it part of the DNA make up.
PS. You can Google Earth the site, thank God we kind of fixed it for them, hehehe, lots of smoking holes and craters and blasted out chem labs. Got a nice view of it when i was on the ground, you could still see all the little German placards on the tunnels and buildings congratulating themselves for building such a nice death factory.
