frankly this seems fair enough to me. I'm still enchanted by the Tea Party crew in the House and I seriously doubt they'll cave on any big tax increases. I give this part of the deal a thumbs up.

I think they will cave if it's a matter of properly funding the military vs. tax increases.

It's as if they kicked this can down the road for just a few months.....and they have ceded power to a "SuperCongress" of 12 people who will make the "tough" decisions.

And the thread is just nonsense. The usual "Cut everything but what I want spending on" that DC uses to avoid any real reforms. Sorry, I know this is going to piss off a lot of "Conservatives" but in a $687 billion defense budget there is at least 10% that can, and should, be cut.

EVERYTHING must be on the table. NO ONE can have sacred cows any longer
