frankly this seems fair enough to me. I'm still enchanted by the Tea Party crew in the House and I seriously doubt they'll cave on any big tax increases. I give this part of the deal a thumbs up.
I think they will cave if it's a matter of properly funding the military vs. tax increases.
It's as if they kicked this can down the road for just a few months.....and they have ceded power to a "SuperCongress" of 12 people who will make the "tough" decisions.

Just found this FR thread discussing this provision of the tentative pla And the thread is just nonsense. The usual "Cut everything but what I want spending on" that DC uses to avoid any real reforms. Sorry, I know this is going to piss off a lot of "Conservatives" but in a $687 billion defense budget there is at least 10% that can, and should, be cut.
EVERYTHING must be on the table. NO ONE can have sacred cows any longer
