I'm suspecting that there's a boatload of waste in the military....as with most gubmint things. Plus, rightfully or not, we'll probably be winding down on Iraq and Afghanistan. We can stop throwing money at those desert moral-less theives for one thing.

I don't see cutting back on the military, reasonably, will be a big problem for the pubs in the near future.

I think that was the same argument that Clinton and the democrats used in the 90's to end Clinton's term with a "projected" budget surplus. Have you ever heard the dem's mention the surplus Clinton left, but omit the military cuts?

Bush then spent the next 8 years replacing and rebuilding what Clinton and the democrats cut.
