We agree on this forum that democrat statists lie to themselves as well as to others. They believe in magic: redistribution of money will cure all ills.
This morning I had the thought that many conservatives also believe in magic: if only we have the right leader we will get the results we want. So because we don’t get the perfect results we want, many are so quick to trash the people who are willing to fight the fight for us. We need to pull back from this kind of reactive emotion, and instead send positive ‘feelings’ of support through the cybersphere to our representatives.
To save face he could claim some health issue. Give him a big plaque from a grateful nation, enshrining him as the first black president. That will make the black supporters happy. The leftists won’t know what to do so they will be confused.
A grateful nation (and a good chunk of the world) would heave a sigh of relief.

As much as I like Allen West and agree with everything he said to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz in response to her Medicare remarks, I was disappointed that he didn’t add something like, “By the way, so far the only big hit Medicare has taken comes from one party, Debbie; and that would be yours under Obamacare, which you voted for.”
I’m as perplexed as you are as to why our side doesn’t respond appropriately to the lies. IMO, taking all the lies off the table would go a long way in revealing how little the libs have to offer.

I don't frequent Lib blogs the equivalent of FR, if there is such a thing. But I wonder if they have people that P&M about Nancy every time she differs from their views by 1°.
It has taken years of dem ideology and control to get us to this state. And you want to have the pols bend to your specific ideas immediately. Sorry, but you have to be a bit patient and pragmatic. Please.
It's not comparable to the House standing alone. Dems are also great on message with a complicit press.
You can just listen to any two Dems on a given day and know their talking points. Yesterday it was "hostage," the past few weeks it's been "balanced approach," back during the Ryan budget battle it was "extreme." They like "extreme."
I'm sure "risky tax scheme" will crop up again if tax reform is proposed.
Listen to any two Republicans and you're lucky any two words are alike. The closest they got to anything comparable was "kicking the can down the road."

This morning Durbin showed how the Dems do not even have a gene for logic. When he was asked why the Senate has not passed a budget bill in three years, his answer was “sixty votes.” At the same time, he and all the dems in Congress and media are talking about “compromise,” meaning that the Republicans have to move.
The idea of moving a bit toward the conservatives in order to get sixty votes is a total non-starter to Durbin and the dems. They would rather be known as the Congress that never passed a budget - one of the key jobs of every Congress.
More duplicity:
Gene Sperling, speaking for the President, just told Gloria Borger that Pres Obama does not want any tax increases for the next year and a half.
Wasn’t the O’s demand for x billion dollars in new “revenue” what made Boehner finally leave his talks with the One?
I thought he was intelligent and impressive, too, especially when he hauled out the 1985 quote from Reagan. I'm waiting for a transcript to go online.
However, a quick search revealed that Labrador is a former IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY and his pet project is convincing conservatives to go along with "reform." He states he supports only legal immigration and is against amnesty, but overall his other statements on the issue are soft.
Agree totally...he was awesome. At one point, the rest of the panel was just staring at him with no comeback of any sort.
The best line was when he said he did not believe in corporate welfare and it was not fair that GE didn’t pay any taxes last year...crickets...
The biggest part of the Mackpenny deal is no allowing endless 7.5% increases year after year.

Once again I think personally John Boehner is probably a really good guy,but I question whether he has the Dirty Harry instincts necessary to take on mobsters and Marxists who will do anything, say anything to win.
When you analyze things goal # 1 was to get at least 350-400 billion in cuts for year one or suffer the consequences from the rating bureaus of S&P and Moodys.
Boehner failed miserably at that. He's getting peanuts year one by signing on to a bogus 10 year deal. We already know that ten year deals are nonbinding to the next Congress so why bother.
Point two was how much to let the Marxists have how quickly. Boehner gave them 1.2 trillion all at once which zero is claiming will take him through Nov. of 2012!
What the hell kind of deal is that? We lose on both counts! Yeah I still like Boehner but would I rather have a Paul Ryan? You bet.

Duplicity is usually coherent. The Democrats and Obama aren't consistent, and I'm so far unable to find a coherent message in their content.
Not to say they aren't duplicitous, just that they aren't good at it.
