Yup. The REPUBLICAN led House should draw up the purse strings and release ONLY enough to pay the current obligations. Don’t default on the debt, but don’t fund the beast either. Not a penny to ObamaCare, the EPA, the TSA, the dept of homeland unsecurity, the dept of uneducation, the uncommerce dept, planned parenthood, acorn, the unions, etc, or any other political organization, including public broadcasting. Cut the fat, cut the pork, cut the waste, cut the fraud. Cut the federal salaries, pensions and benefits, cut their staffing, cut their offices, cut the subsidies. Cut the foreign aid, not a penny to the U.N. or any other world body. Stop the wars, declare victory and bring our troop home. Freeze and or cut all federal budgets. Send the illegal aliens packing and quit subsidizing the illegal alien invasion!
Get the government off our backs, out of our business and out of our faces!! Let the people get back to work and let the free economy (and the tax revenues) soar!!
like any responsible adult facing debts, they should tally up what they are bringing in, subtract payments to debts... and then only spend what’s left (this is the government, saving some money for later is not an option)
this being said:
we bring in $2 trillion.
we owe $14.5 trillion.
interest payment would be about 5% annually... or $700 billion
that leaves $1.3 trillion for everything else... and we haven’t reduced the debt one dime!
assuming we put $300 billion to the debt each year, that would leave $1 trillion for spending. that’s it. now... pick the programs we can pay for from the $1 trillion.
of course, if they want more money... then they need to attract more foreign dollars. to do that, we will need a more diverse economy and the ability to offer attractive deals to foreigners.
i would go so far as to recommend radically lowering taxes on any business coming from outside the country. this would encourage such business while helping bring more money into the country.

Other than the Defense Department, NSA, CIA, highway budgets, Social Security ( even though, Social Security was suppose to be or is under it’s own FICA tax funding system ) it’s time to cut the funding on the rest of government, or totally defund or get rid of those government agencies.
