I think Pawelenty, Santorum, Gingrich, and Cain should already be bowing out if they truly desire a conservative victory.

Those who remain in the race should be honest about any skeletons in the closet. If anything real comes out on Bachman or Perry, I’m gonna just shut them off. Palin is the most scrutinized woman on the planet and has been for nearly 4 years. If there were dirt on her, we’d already know about it.

And conservatives need to stop mindlessly bashing their potential nominees over deviations they’ve made from pure conservatism in which they’ve demonstrably changed their mind or the deviation was in a 2nd or 3rd tier concern.

I'm pretty much in complete agreement with you. Some of these have already paid for their spaces at the Straw poll so I don't anticipate anyone dropping out before the Straw Poll but it won't be surprising to see some announcements immediately after the Straw Poll.
