Scott Brown may support Reid plan

Republican Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts told a radio station Friday that he may vote for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's plan to raise the debt ceiling.

"Sen. Brown tells WBUR parties need to work across the aisle to resolve debt-ceiling impasse; he'd vote for Reid's plan," the Boston public radio station posted on its Twitter account.

The moderate Republican, who is up for re-election next year, is in the minority of his party, which overwhelmingly opposes the measure. But increasingly, senators from both parties are saying that there is ample room for compromise between Reid's measure and the one proposed by House Speaker John Boehner.

A Brown spokesman could not be reached for comment immediately.

Maine Sen. Olympia Snowe said she couldn't vote to proceed to the Reid plan, but she said "that's not meant to say there aren't issues between the Reid and Boehner plan that couldn't be worked out."

Even West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, a moderate Democrat up for reelection next year, said he could support a revised Reid plan depending on how it looks at the end of the day. He announced his opposition to the current draft in a floor speech Thursday afternoon.

Yep, we expected iffy. He’s downright terrible. If I was in MA, I wouldn’t vote for him.

I donated $35 to Scott Brown in 2009. Since he cast the deciding vote against the DREAM Act, I consider it money well spent, but I do not plan on contributing in the future.

Anyone who thinks Massachusetts is going to elect a conservative is a fool. Leave Brown alone. If he gets reelected, he's slightly better than a Democrat. If he loses, no big loss.

Let's concentrate on people that we have a real chance of replacing with conservatives like Dick Lugar (before he dicks you) and Bob Corker rather than chasing rainbows.

Scott Brown, “I’m not an automatic 60th vote for Obamacare.. wait.. I AM!”
Always there to stab us in the back every chance he gets.

Is it me, or are these politicians just not getting it?? We (the US government) has a SPENDING problem. When I call my representatives I feel like I am trying to make Amy Winehouse to go to rehab.

Excellent analogy. Likely to end the same way, too (metaphorically speaking, sort of).

LOL, your expectations were improperly set. Like it or not being from MA has everything to do w/ how he’s conducting himself. Living in the real world will prevent these sorts of disappointments in future.

I just heard Brown on talk radio. He was being interviewed by Howie Carr, a talk radio show out of Boston.

Brown said, “The TEA Party and the democrats have to do what’s good for the country.” He was saying the TEA Party should support a raise in the debt ceiling.

Call me old fashioned, but spending money you don’t have is NOT good for the country! Brown said, “We have to pay our bills!” (How ‘bout living within our means, senator?)

I wish I could spend money I don’t have and then not have to worry about paying it back!

I’m still pissed about Brown not showing up at the TEA Party that was held on Boston Common last year. Sarah Palin was the keynote speaker, and Brown couldn’t even be bothered to show his smug face.

If this isn’t irritating enough, those leftie morons at move-on.org have been running commercials on my local conservative talk radio station all day. They go like this.
You hear sirens in the distance. Two police detectives are talking. One says, “What have you got here, O’Malley?” “Well, the Republicans are holed up in the building. They won’t talk, they won’t negotiate. They’re holding the country hostage. They won’t make the rich pay their fair share, etc.” Then a voice says, “Call Senator Snowe and tell her to raise the debt ceiling!” Barf.

Never let your enemy wear your uniform. Brown sucks, he will be primaried and if he gets by, he will loose to a stinky Dem in the general. Rinos are really of no use, even those from a one party communist state like MA.

Mr. Scott Brown is from Teddi Kennedy's state.

Mr. Scott Brown is a flaming liberal.

Mr. Scott Brown is also a rino...better make that RINO.

Mr. Scott Brown will vote with his fellow dem/lib/prog/pops for two reasons:
1. He is a dem/lib/prog/pop in rino clothing and
2. He will do anything, say anything, lie about anything, be anything he needs to get re-elected.

Therefore, Mr. Scott Brown is the quintessential liberal politician...no morals, no inner compass, no standards, no nothing.

Of course he'll vote with dingy harry...what else could we expect?
