Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!
We did the same thing here in Arizona. We put the commie 'RATS in charge of redistricting. The commies are definitely in charge now.

I had hoped this commission would do better than this. Sadly, we have a state whose Legislature has been under Leftist control for around 60 years.
That tends to destroy a place.

($1.8 tril yearly deficits = $18 tril in ten years. So now we're proposing $4 tril in cuts? Really?)

That’s because most of the sane people have left or are leaving. All that’s left (pretty much) is dems/lunatics.

Lol! What a surprise, the “independent” commission was really a democrat commission. Which proves again Rush Limbaugh old adage, that an independent is nothing more than a democrat who is embarrassed to say so.

800,000 Republicans moved out of the state over the past decade while several million illegal aliens (who vote Democrat) moved in. It is no surprise that the state is then going Democrat.

That should be easy, since Republicans—especially conservatives—are leaving California in a steady stream.

“while the number of Republicans California sends to Congress - now 19 - could be reduced by as many as five.”
Good news if you like to hear the words “Madame Speaker Pelosi.”

Motto of the Democrat party.
“The mind is its own place, and in itself
Can make a heav’n of hell, a hell of heav’n.
Better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven.”

What did they do? Create more beachfront districts?

Give California back to Mexico and stretch the border fence on the eastern border.
Problem solved!

I support to the extent possible that all Congressional districts be kept in play and that neither Party have a lock on reelection. It would keep Congress listening to their people instead of the lobbyists and leadership. When elections can go either way it keeps the critters honest.
