With all due respect, how is the Tea Party to blame for wanting good fiscal policy? Is it because they want to block the most recent Boehner bill? The bill deemed DOA in the Senate before it ever gets voted on? The bill that would be, is being, used by Reid to cobble together a compromise of Boehner’s, McConnell’s and his own plan? How would passage of Boehner’s plan yesterday stop that from happening? I just don’t understand the anger at the Tea Party; especially from people on this forum.

A plan (CCB) has already passed the House. It too was DOA in the senate. But the House can stand on the fact that they have submitted a plan. If this (or any other plan) can be deemed DOA by the Senate, then why can’t the House notify Reid than anything he cobbles together will automatically be deemed DOA in the House? Tit-for-tat.

Frankly, the big roadblock is Obama. He’s desperate for a plan with no strings, that lasts until after the election. The Dems are covering for him. And whatever Reid comes up with will be suitable to Obama. Thus, we lose. So, how again is the Tea Party to blame?

Or, am I senseless because of my neanderthal genes?

It’s not. What we are seeing is the Tea Party getting blamed because they are a target of convenience. Obama and the Democrats hate the Tea Party, and the establishment Republicans want them gone just as badly. So, they are teaming up against a common enemy, and trying to place all the public fallout for this fiasco on the Tea Party. Then, they will swoop in to the rescue with a “bi-partisan” bill, thinking that they will look like heroes to their constituents. It won’t work, but that’s what I think is going on here.
