One way to put the CBC off-balance (because we know most of the group are either Socialists or CPUSA) is to sit down in the middle of it and not be one of them. That alone will rattle their cage, and there is no way that bunch is slick enough to hide what they are up to from someone in their midst.
We can disagree, but that other junk is just so much bull.
But let me say this. I wasn't listening to the program, I'd bet many of the legislators weren't either.

As far as the budget, debt ceiling, etc. go:
In the last few weeks, I've scrimped and scratched to make the bills, waiting on an invoice to be paid that got mommicked up during the 4th of July holiday. A month later, my bills are (barely) paid, but that means no ice cream for the kids, and austerity. I'm not running a deficit.
If I, and every American out there like me can work within our budget, even when it hurts, why in the hell can't the Government?
Budget bills which want to borrow more money without taking care of the root problems are foolish. They are bogus, a band-aid for a burst appendix.
Get rid of policies that are crippling industry: Obamacare, the latest round of EPA rules, in fact hobble the EPA, the USFWS, and rein in the BLM which is still seeking dominion over MORE land in the US. Put a stop to the practices which cripple the economy, and the haul from taxes even at current rates will increase.
Cut a bunch of crap, from studies of why homos go ape at parties (six figures for that?), to AGW junk science, stop all the meaningless grants and commissions which are just cooking the employment books by adding more parasite jobs.
Guarantee the things which should be guaranteed for those we should guarantee them for (our veterans, active duty military, those we have promised the health care they paid for now that they are 'senior'), but no more welfare cell phones, no more section 8 housing, let being poor be a little painful so able-bodied people will want to make something more of their lot. I, for one am sick Sh*tless of seeing simpering obese well dressed welfare recipients whine about how poor they are with the 52 inch big screen in the background.
Enough dumping money into subsidies for technologies that are clearly not ready for prime time. Support some basic research, OK, but taking nonfunctional ideas straight to production is lunacy.
I don't want my money spent on that, and I doubt most of America does, either.
I'd bet if you gave the average American a vote, line item by line item, and just got rid of the 10% with the highest number of votes to scuttle, we'd balance the budget, and if that didn't work, do it again until we do!
